Gut Friendly Apple Smoothie
My favourite way to take VSL#3 is to stir it in to a smoothie, this gut friendly green apple smoothie is perfect for spring and is full of nutrients, just look at that colour! Apple are a source of prebiotic fibre, which acts as food for our gut bacteria and helps them to thrive.
Gut Friendly Green Apple Smoothie
- 1 green apple peeled, cored, diced and frozen
- 1 cup almond milk or milk of your choice
- 1 cup spinach
- 1 sachet VSL#3 Probiotics
- 1 tsp honey or maple syrup Optional for extra sweetness
- Add the frozen apple, almond milk and spinach to a blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour the sachet of VSL#3 in to the smoothie and stir to mix.
- Serve and enjoy!
